stool is an examination of chronologies and timekeeping methods. Rings
in the slice of tree mark time in response to environmental and natural
circumstances. In contrast to this organic method of tracking time, the
top of the stool describes an atomic clock – an artificial timekeeping
method that allows for precise measurements. This object is intended to
inspire contemplation about disparate methods of keeping time.
