Inspired by the ancient Roman water clock, Clepsydra
(water thief) comments on our efforts to increase efficiency and keep up with the accelerating pace of life. The user pours the contents of a disposable water bottle into a beaker. Over a period of 40 minutes, the water drips slowly into a collecting funnel, where it is finally ready to drink. Clepsydra creates a time span for slowness and patience while it also soothes and mesmerizes the user with its steady drip.
