Cooper Holoweski was born and raised in metro Detroit. His work is a narrative of machines. These machines are at once stand-ins for global economic systems, products of the free-market, and the driving force behind it. These machines function to suspend reality through our increasing faith in their ability to do so. With a reverence and disgust for the machine Holoweski records rise of global capitalism as a dominant ideology as well as the implications of it’s collision with elements of reality.
