RISD Students Work
Welcome to RISD’s online work-study job site. This site is a resource for full-time RISD students seeking part-time employment, and for employers who wish to post a job.

Students work for a variety of reasons whether to meet the basic costs of a RISD education, or to learn/improve their skills and work habits. The work-study program itself consists of Federal Work-Study (FWS) or RISD Work-Study (RWS) and it is part of a student’s financial aid package. While priority is given to financial aid recipients for on campus jobs, RISD also allows non-financial aid students to work should there still be jobs left unfilled by work-study students. Students can find jobs at RISD by checking listings on this website. Perform a search for on or off campus jobs in one of several ways: by key word, (for example use the key word “office” to find all office assistant positions), by pay rate, or by department (if looking for a job on campus).

Employers, both on and off campus, may post jobs several ways at RISD: call our office at 401-454-6634, fax us at 401-454-6412 or post online. The latter can be done through the Non-RISD Employers’ Login (for off campus employers) or RISD Supervisor Login (for on-campus employers). Both links appear below this section.

The Work-Study Office reserves the right to determine that a position may or may not be appropriate to list in our office or online. We make these determinations to the best of our ability with the welfare and safety of our students in mind. RISD is an equal opportunity employer. We encourage inquiries from candidates who will enrich and contribute to the cultural and ethnic diversity of our College. RISD does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, creed, color, religion, marital status, gender, sexual orientation, veteran status, national origin, or disability status in employment or in our education programs.
